Sonia Ozurumba, MD, FAAP is the founding physician of The New Pediatrics. She completed her medical school training at Texas A&M College of Medicine. She graduated with honors and received the Merck Academic Excellence Award and the AMWA's Glasgow-Rubin Academic Achievement Award. She completed her residency training at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital. Dr. Ozurumba is board certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is affiliated with and a Community Provider at Texas Children's Hospital. She loves children and is well versed in all aspects of pediatric care, from newborn to late adolescence. Dr. Ozurumba loves music, soccer, and making music videos. In addition to English, She is fluent in Igbo and speaks Spanish with professional working proficiency.
